I hold a PhD in Psychology (BSc Honours) from the Open University, completed in 2018, followed by a Master’s degree in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy at the International University of Valencia in 2019–2020. Building on this foundation, I am furthering my expertise with certification in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), which I will complete in 2025. My professional journey has provided me with broad clinical experience, working with adults who have histories of trauma—whether physical, sexual, or psychological—as well as individuals experiencing dissociation, emotional dysregulation, and couples navigating disordered or unhelpful patterns of relating to each other.
My therapeutic style focuses on uncovering the hidden narratives and stories we tell ourselves—often unconsciously—that can interfere with mental health and intimate relationships. By bringing these narratives into awareness, I help clients develop new ways of understanding themselves and their connections with others.
I integrate a range of evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness. Alongside these, I incorporate innovative methods that I find particularly effective in practice. My approach is flexible and hybrid, offering online sessions complemented by tailored courses, exercises, and resources for home use.
In the field of couples therapy, I work with Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT), a structured and time-limited approach rooted in attachment theory. EFCT helps couples understand the emotional dynamics underlying their conflicts, with the aim of strengthening connection, improving communication, and enhancing relationship satisfaction.
At the heart of my work are the values of empathy, professional competence, safety, and cultural sensitivity. I strive to provide a collaborative, respectful, and non-judgmental space, offering both short-term support for immediate concerns and longer-term therapy for deeper transformation. My goal is not only to provide relief in the moment but also to equip clients with tools they can continue to use in the future.
I am an English-speaking psychotherapist based in Almería, Spain, where I offer therapy both online and in person to adults and teenagers. I specialize in supporting clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges, and my work is informed by both psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural approaches.
My practice is guided by a holistic vision of well-being that integrates psychological insight with practical strategies for everyday life. I see psychotherapy as a journey of conscious growth—an opportunity to listen deeply, understand past and present struggles, and discover healthier ways of relating to oneself and others. Whether I am working with individuals, couples, or families, my aim is always to provide a space where clients feel safe, understood, and supported as they move toward meaningful change.
Beyond my professional role, I am passionate about the transformative power of therapy and the resilience of the human spirit. Outside of work, I enjoy art, music, and hiking with my dogs—activities that keep me grounded, inspired, and connected to the world around me.
