I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) with over 15 years of experience specializing in trauma recovery, addiction, and relational healing. My training includes working at The Meadows, one of the world’s leading treatment centers for trauma and recovery, where I was trained in Post-Induction Therapy (PIT), The Meadows’ proprietary methodology for addressing deep-rooted trauma and attachment wounds. I am also trained in Somatic Experiencing®, a body-based approach to resolving trauma developed by Dr. Peter Levine, which helps clients release stored traumatic activation from the nervous system. My foundation in psychodynamic and depth psychology allows me to help clients understand unconscious patterns, early attachment wounds, and the deeper roots of their struggles. Throughout my career, I have worked with individuals, couples, and families navigating profound life transitions, interpersonal challenges, and the aftermath of difficult experiences. My areas of specialty include trauma and PTSD, addiction recovery, complex relational trauma and attachment issues, family-of-origin work, expat adjustment and cultural transition, grief and loss, and identity development. I hold a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am licensed to practice in California. I have completed advanced training in Somatic Experiencing and Post-Induction Therapy, and I maintain ongoing education in trauma-informed, body-centered approaches to healing.
My aim is to provide a confidential, compassionate space where you can explore your concerns and discover pathways toward healing and growth. I work in a warm, direct manner that combines psychodynamic depth with somatic awareness—because our bodies hold as much wisdom as our minds, and lasting healing happens when we address both. Clients often tell me they feel deeply seen, not just for their struggles but for their resilience and inherent strength. I believe therapy is about more than managing symptoms; it’s about transformation—changing how you live your life from the inside out. Our work together will focus on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck, honoring what you’ve survived, and helping you move beyond survival mode into genuine freedom. Whether you’re processing trauma, untangling complicated family dynamics, navigating heartbreak, or adjusting to life as an expat, I’ll help you slow down, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover the part of you that remains unbroken. I work best with people who are ready to go deeper—those seeking real change, not just surface coping. My approach is collaborative and tailored to each person’s unique needs, drawing from body-based trauma work, depth psychology, and relational healing. Together, we’ll create a space where you can feel safe enough to explore difficult emotions, challenge old narratives, and build a life that feels more authentic and whole.
I know firsthand what it feels like to start over. Living abroad and navigating major life transitions has given me personal insight into the loneliness, identity questions, and unexpected emotional terrain that can surface when everything feels unfamiliar. I understand the particular challenges expats face—the excitement mixed with disorientation, the grief for what’s been left behind, and the courage it takes to build a life in a new place while carrying unresolved wounds from the past. Outside of my practice, I value staying grounded through mindfulness, spending time in nature, and maintaining meaningful connections with my son and close friends. I believe that living authentically—wherever we are—requires ongoing self-reflection and compassion, and I bring that same commitment to my own growth that I ask of my clients.
