I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s in Clinical Health Psychology from the European University of Madrid. As a licensed psychotherapist, I have worked in several private clinics, including the Bipolar Clinic in Madrid and Noguerol, one of the city’s most respected trauma clinics. At Noguerol, in addition to therapy, I led workshops on specific topics such as communication skills, public speaking, and self-esteem. At the Bipolar Clinic, I also led mindfulness workshops and provided support not only to clients but also to their families.
Over the years, I have gained valuable experience in video therapy, working in different online clinics. I believe this approach is an important part of the future of mental health care. Many clients appreciate the flexibility of not having to travel, making therapy more accessible and fitting more easily into their schedule. I’ve also found that some people feel more comfortable opening up about difficult topics in a video session, as the distance can create a sense of security.
In addition to my private practice, I am part of MindPlace, an international clinic in the center of Barcelona. I run workshops at universities to support American students navigating the challenges of studying and living abroad. Alongside this, I provide individual therapy for students dealing with anxiety, procrastination, homesickness, and interpersonal conflicts.
I was trained in cognitive behavioural psychology, and in recent years I identify myself as an “integrationist”. Which means that I select and apply evidence-based techniques from various psychological models to create a framework tailored to your unique therapeutic needs. Using my experience, I will identify your main challenges and develop simple, effective strategies that bring meaningful change. I also understand that listening alone is not enough to heal, which is why I will teach you practical tools so that you can deal with issues better. These are skills you can continue to use after therapy has ended.
Having a Spanish mother and a Norwegian father, I grew up in a bilingual and multicultural environment, which gave me a deep understanding of identity, belonging, and the challenges of adapting to different cultural expectations. Born and raised in Oslo, I was taught Norwegian values and customs. At the same time, spending all summers in Spain exposed me to the warmth and vibrancy of a lively, social culture.
Drawn to my Spanish roots, I decided to move to Madrid after high school to study psychology. There, I was part of an international community, learning from people with diverse backgrounds and cultures. This experience deepened my open-mindedness, curiosity, and ability to understand where people come from—not just geographically, but emotionally and psychologically as well.
After obtaining my psychology license, I took another step and moved to Barcelona, where I have been working for several years. My own journey of adapting to different cultures allows me to connect with the challenges of living abroad—navigating cultural differences, building a support system, and finding a sense of belonging in a new country.
I believe in people’s ability to overcome challenges and grow, and I see therapy as a space to support that process. As a multilingual psychotherapist, I offer therapy in Norwegian, English, and Spanish, both online and in person, depending on your needs.
I am an English-speaking psychotherapist based in Barcelona, specialized in psychological therapies for adults. I offer online and in person individual sessions to adults. I also work in Spanish, and Norwegian.
