My Credentials:

I’m an English and Lithuanian speaking international psychologist and therapists based in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. I have trained in Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am currently in the final year of a 4-year Psychotherapy training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). I hold a bachelors degree in psychology (UK) and a masters degree in performance psychology (Finland). In addition, I am a trained mindfulness and compassion teacher and yoga instructor. I am a licensed as a psychosocial therapist with Collectief Alternatieve Therapeuten (CAT) and I work in my private practice at Tiptoe We Grow. I am available for online or walk-and-talk therapy sessions. You can learn more about me: https://tiptoewegrow.eu

My Approach:

I use mindfulness, acceptance and compassion based approaches to help my clients navigate mental health struggles, improve wellbeing and performance. At the heart of my practice at Tiptoe We Grow there is a universal wish to reduce suffering and help people flourish in their lives. I can help with challenges such as: feeling depressed or anxious, feeling stressed or burnt out, emotional distress, grief and loss, self-criticism and shame, self-esteem, life transitions, performance anxiety, unhealthy habits. Starting therapy can help you understand yourself better, build valuable mental skills, and work more skilfully with life’s difficulties. It can help you be more present and grounded, regulate stress, anxiety and emotions, focus on what really matters, manage energy and motivation levels, set clear goals and move towards them, build a kinder relationship with yourself, be less caught up in ups and downs of life. During our consultations I will assess your needs, employ therapeutic techniques, help you build relevant skills and monitor your journey.

Whether you are struggling with your mental health or would simply like to build your self-regulation and coping skills, don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m looking forward to supporting you in your journey. A bit more about the therapeutic approaches: Compassion-Focused Therapy emphasizes the importance of compassion in interactions with the self and the world and aims to bring clients’ emotional systems into balance and promote healing through the work with experiences of inner warmth, safeness and soothing; Acceptance Commitment Therapy develops psychological flexibility with the aim to create rich and meaningful life, while accepting the pain that inevitably goes with it.

About Me:

I have studied and worked in multiple countries and have personal experience of challenges that expats and international students face. I believe that helps me better understand some of the struggles that international environments pose. I try to build compassionate therapeutic relationships based on authenticity and common humanity, to help my clients process their experience, improve self-care, strengthen their capabilities and move towards their goals. In my free time I enjoy movement and nature. I love spending time in the forest or by the water, for example, walking with my dog, running or stand-up paddling. It really helps me regulate my nervous system and recharge.

Summary:

I’m an English and Lithuanian speaking international psychologist and compassion-focused therapists based in the Netherlands and available for online sessions.
