I hold a BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy from IICP in Dublin, where I trained in a range of therapeutic approaches to support clients in a holistic and person-centred way. In addition, I have completed a Certificate in Traumatic Stress Studies with the Trauma Research Foundation, deepening my understanding of the impact of trauma and enhancing my capacity to work safely and compassionately with trauma-related issues.
I work from both an integrative and humanistic perspective, which means I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches and tailor them to each client as a unique individual. My post-graduate training in trauma has deepened my understanding of how trauma lives in the body and shapes our experiences, relationships, and sense of self. As such, I approach all of my work with a trauma-informed lens.
Establishing safety is at the heart of my work — emotionally, relationally, and sometimes physically using somatic based practices — and I believe that meaningful therapeutic work can only happen when clients feel safe and supported. From this foundation, we collaborate to shape a therapeutic journey that meets your needs, pace, and goals.
I place a strong emphasis on building a non-judgemental, compassionate space where all parts of you are welcome — including the ones you might have spent years hiding, minimising, or protecting. I honour your inner wisdom, and I believe deeply in each person’s capacity for healing and growth, no matter how painful their starting point may be.
My path into this work is deeply personal. As someone with lived experience of childhood trauma and a long journey through my own therapy, I understand how daunting, painful, and transformative the healing process can be. I identify with Carl Jung’s concept of the “wounded healer” — the idea that those who have been wounded themselves may be uniquely positioned to support others in their healing.
I am particularly passionate about supporting those on the journey back to themselves — especially individuals carrying the weight of shame, secrecy, and disconnection that so often accompany childhood abuse. The process of gently shedding these layers and reconnecting with one’s core self is sacred work, and it is a deep privilege to walk alongside clients as they do so.
My work is inspired by the writing and research of Dr. Bessel van der Kolk, Dr. Gabor Maté, and Brené Brown. Their insights into trauma, compassion, and vulnerability resonate strongly with my values and continue to influence my practice.
I strive to create a therapeutic space that is warm, authentic, and affirming — where you feel seen, heard, and met exactly as you are. Whether you are navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, identity exploration, or simply feeling lost or stuck, I offer a place for reflection, healing, and reconnection.
I am an English-speaking Counsellor and Psychotherapist in Granada, Spain, offering both in-person and online therapy sessions to adults.
Overall
I felt immediately understood and guided by her. She gave me practical tools to cope with my problems and reconnect with myself. Her welcoming approach created a safe space where I felt comfortable from our very first session. I will always be thankful for her help.
