I am a Licensed Psychologist registered with the Nederlands Instituut voor Psychologen (NIP), with a Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Groningen in the Netherlands. I have worked as an Educational Counsellor, where I supported students with choosing the right career path. My research background includes positions as a Research Assistant in both the Sexual Psychophysiology Laboratory and the Eating Disorders Lab at the University of Groningen, as well as Content Researcher for the Humanitarian NeuropsychProject in Groningen.
I have completed additional training in Integrative Psychotherapy through the Romanian Association of Integrative Psychotherapy in Bucharest, along with specialized training in Elements of Psychosomatic Therapy and Relationships and Developmental Stages. This training incorporated elements from various psychotherapies, such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychodrama, transactional analysis, somatic work, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This diverse educational background allows me to approach psychological care from multiple theoretical perspectives.
In my sessions, I approach each client with curiosity and empathy, creating a space where they can connect with their true selves. I am trained in integrative psychotherapy, which means I combine various therapeutic approaches to suit each individual’s unique needs and circumstances. This method allows me to draw from a range of evidence-based techniques, ensuring our work together is both flexible and effective.
The relationship we build during therapy is at the heart of our work together. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where clients feel comfortable opening up and embracing their vulnerability.
In my approach, I focus on you as a whole person rather than a set of labels or diagnoses.
Using an attachment-based, trauma-informed framework, we’ll work to address the roots of your struggles, cultivate self-compassion, and highlight your strengths.
I am here to support you, offer new perspectives, and guide you as you find your own way forward. My practice is an inclusive and affirming space for everyone, including LGBTQ+ individuals.
What can we work together on:
My passion for understanding people, supporting them, and guiding them on their personal journey led me to study psychology in the Netherlands. Moving from a small town in Romania to a significantly different type of town in the Netherlands made me overcome the challenges of adapting to a new culture, cultivating resilience, and discovering myself in a new context. My commitment to helping others extends beyond my professional work, as seen in my two years as a UNICEF member and my role as chair of the Red Cross refugee committee. In my free time, I enjoy going for walks, spending time with friends, exploring new cities, and baking – activities that help me maintain balance and find joy in everyday experiences.
This background has cultivated my therapeutic philosophy: a compassionate, culturally-sensitive approach that honours each individual’s unique story and potential for healing and growth.
I am an English and Romanian-speaking psychologist trained in integrative psychotherapy, offering online therapy sessions to people of all ages. Using evidence-based interventions, we’ll work to address the roots of your struggles, cultivate self-compassion, and highlight your strengths.
