I hold a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Leiden University and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. I have completed formal training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) through the European Institute of Counselling & Psychotherapy and am currently continuing my professional development with Schema Therapy training at Van Genderen Opleidingen BV. Additionally, I have completed an 8-week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program based on Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn’s method, enhancing my ability to integrate mindfulness and stress management techniques into therapy.
My clinical experience includes working in an outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy clinic, where I provide individual therapy to clients from diverse cultural backgrounds. I also receive regular supervision and engage in continuous professional development to ensure that the care I provide meets the highest professional standards. In addition to my clinic work, I maintain a private practice where I provide sessions in English and Greek for clients based in The Hague and internationally.
My therapeutic style is collaborative, empathetic, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I combine evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Schema Therapy, to help clients explore patterns, understand their challenges, and develop practical strategies for change. I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered to take an active role in their own growth. By incorporating elements of mindfulness into my practice, I also help clients learn to ground themselves in the present moment and respond to challenges with greater clarity and calm.
Every client’s story is unique, and so is every therapeutic process. I tailor each session to your specific goals, needs, and pace, whether you are seeking to reduce anxiety, build self-confidence, improve relationships, or better manage stress.
As a native Greek living and working in the Netherlands, I understand the challenges of adapting to new environments and cultures. This personal experience has shaped my cultural sensitivity, empathy, and adaptability, allowing me to connect authentically with clients from diverse backgrounds.
My passion lies in supporting individuals who are navigating stress, burnout, anxiety, self-esteem issues, interpersonal difficulties, and attachment-related challenges.
Outside of my professional life, I’m passionate about travelling, practicing yoga, socialising, and discovering new things, all of which help me stay grounded, curious, and inspired. I believe these personal passions enrich the way I connect with my clients, reminding me of the importance of balance, openness, and human connection in everyday life.
Summary:
I am an English- and Greek-speaking psychologist based in The Hague, Netherlands, offering individual therapy to adults and teenagers. My approach integrates CBT, Schema Therapy, and mindfulness to support clients with stress, anxiety, self-esteem, and relationship challenges.
