My Credentials:

I am a psychologist with over six years of clinical experience in private practice. Since 2019, I’ve worked with individuals from diverse backgrounds and walks of life, supporting them through a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges. I hold a degree in Psychology and have completed specialized training in solution-focused therapy, crisis intervention, and trauma-informed care. My ongoing professional development ensures that I continue to refine and expand my therapeutic tools, staying up to date with best practices in the field. In addition to my private practice work, I have mentored psychology students, helping them build their clinical skills and confidence. I also have experience working within schools and educational settings, supporting children and adolescents through emotional difficulties, behavioural challenges, and transitions. My broader experience includes offering psychological support in high-risk environments and for vulnerable communities, including mothers in shelters, refugees, and inmates in detention centers.

My Approach:

My approach to therapy is both solution-focused and resource-oriented. This means we work together to identify your existing strengths and resources, and use them to move toward your goals. While we always address the immediate concerns that bring you into therapy—such as anxiety, low self-esteem, addiction, infidelity, or relationship stress—we can also explore deeper patterns and root causes as you feel ready. The pace and depth of the work is always tailored to your needs and comfort. I aim to create a therapeutic space that is practical, warm, and collaborative. I believe therapy should be useful from the very first session. Together, we’ll explore new perspectives, develop coping strategies, and create meaningful steps forward. I also understand that each person is different, so I adapt my methods to suit your unique personality, history, and way of processing experiences.

About Me:

I’m Andrei Dinca, and my work as a psychologist is driven by curiosity, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s individual journey. From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by how people cope with adversity, grow through challenge, and find their way back to themselves. This interest evolved into a lifelong commitment to understanding the human experience and supporting others through it. Beyond the therapy room, I’ve worked in emotionally intense and complex situations—offering crisis counseling, suicide prevention, and mental health support for marginalized and underserved groups. These experiences have deepened my empathy and shaped my belief in the importance of accessible, human-centered psychological care.

Summary:

I am an English-speaking psychologist based in Bucharest, Romania, offering both in-person and online therapy sessions to individuals (18+) and couples.

I offer therapy that is flexible, grounded, and focused on real-life results. Whether you’re looking to address a specific issue or you’re simply feeling stuck and unsure of what’s next, I provide a non-judgmental space where you can be heard, supported, and guided. Sessions with me are collaborative and practical—we’ll define goals together and work steadily toward them. At the same time, I remain mindful of the emotional depth behind many life struggles. When appropriate, I help clients uncover the underlying narratives or patterns that may be shaping their experiences, always with care and respect for their readiness. Whether we meet in person or online, my goal is to help you feel more clear, empowered, and connected to yourself. Life can be overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. Therapy is a space where change becomes possible—one step at a time.
