I hold an MSc in Clinical & Health Psychology from Utrecht University in the Netherlands, as well as an MSc in Social & Intercultural Psychology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles in Belgium. My academic journey began with a BSc in Psychology at the Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium, followed by another BSc in Psychology from Transilvania University of Brasov in Romania.
Alongside my academic background, I have pursued extensive psychotherapy training. This includes Compassion Cultivation Training at the Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education at Stanford University, as well as training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy through The Center for Self-Leadership in the USA. I have also trained in CBT for Anxiety and the Essentials of CBT at The Beck Institute, and further expanded my knowledge with courses on Understanding Anxiety, Depression, and CBT at the University of Reading in the UK. In addition, I have completed professional development in Cultural Diversity: Communication and Cooperation with I.C.S. Brussels, Belgium, and Listening for Crisis Training with CEFEC, Brussels.
Your healing and growth are at the heart of my work. My clinical approach centers on creating a safe, evidence-based environment where you can explore the complexity of your inner experiences and relational patterns. I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT) and Compassion Cultivation Therapy (CCT), as well as Polyvagal Theory, to support you in moving beyond anxiety, trauma, and disconnection. Together, we work to identify and understand the often-conflicting parts of the psyche, regulate physiological responses linked to stress and trauma, and cultivate self-compassion as a foundation for healing.
Therapy with me is a collaborative and individualized process. We will establish clear clinical goals and use assessment tools where appropriate to guide treatment and monitor progress. My focus is always on fostering lasting change by addressing the underlying relational dynamics—both internal and external—that contribute to distress. This work is not about quick fixes, but about nurturing sustainable transformation.
I specialize in healing the fractures that affect your relationship with yourself, with others, and with the world around you, especially within the context of today’s diverse and ever-evolving social landscape. My practice is deeply grounded in the principles of equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring that all identities and experiences are respected and valued. Therapy with me is a relational and compassionate journey that honors your unique story and creates space for authentic connection, self-acceptance, and resilience.
I am an English-speaking psychologist in Lisbon, Portugal, offering both in-person and online sessions to adults.
I offer an integrative therapeutic process designed to help you re-establish safety, coherence, and connection—both within yourself and with the world around you. This process is about reclaiming your sense of belonging: to yourself, to your community, and to the natural world.
