I have a master’s degree in clinical counselling from Northeastern State University (USA). My degree has been recognized as a master’s degree from the University of Gdansk where I now reside. I have received licensure and certification from the state of Oklahoma (LPC #5987) from which I still hold. I’ve held certification as a counselor supervisor under the Board of Behavioral Health until I moved abroad. I have practiced online, telehealth, since 2017 as a private practice. However, I began my counseling journey working for a local clinic helping impoverished families. I worked additionally three years in a hospital caring for adults with substance use, eating disorders, behavioral health issues, and/or traumatic brain injury. Before leaving the US to Poland I worked at a state university teaching psychology and counseling courses, while also working as the in-house therapist for students. In addition to upholding my licensure I am a Member of the American Counseling Association and have continued education for the past 12 years. I also am a member of the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science and its chapter in Poland.
I help those who are stressed by life, struggling with low self-esteem, and experiencing relational distress to restore your determination and authenticity. I help my clients learn how to thrive alongside their emotional experiences while practicing self-compassion. Remember, emotions are not our enemy. My main clinical approach is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I approach counseling in a supportive and sociable way. I believe that the relationship you have with your counselor is 99% of the “magic” to get your life back on track. In addition, I draw from existential therapy to help individuals who want a deeper understanding of themselves. I also am trained to provide cognitive-behavioral skills and mindfulness practices. Better said, my approach is to gear you to look at the issues holistically and truthfully, let go of what you can to feel secure and confident again. My tools to treat you are sensitivity, humor, respect, and warmth.
Hello, my name is Braden. I live and work from Poland. But I was born, raised, and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma (USA). I’ve practiced in different types of community settings: like schools, universities, hospitals, and outpatient clinics, where I have worked with people of all ages and in all phases of life. I have realized it isn’t just my education and experience as a therapist that makes my professional lens, it is all of the life experiences along the way too. Reflecting on my own grief/loss, challenges in family life, dealing with severe illnesses have shaped how I view the human condition. Moving abroad and my previous work with international students has fashioned my love for cross-cultural interactions and therapeutically the roadblocks that can appear. In my leisure, I love to cook, travel with family, read philosophy and take walks around my new home in Poland.
