I am a clinical psychologist who has completed her clinical psychology master’s degree in Warsaw from an accredited university department. I am focused and specialized on CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), relationship & marriage counseling, and adult, children, and adolescents psychological assessment tests by various certificated educations also where I have gained my knowledge. During these training sessions, I was working and educated under supervision, which let me practice a lot and gave me a lot of experience. Since I graduated from my master’s degree, I have been taking online sessions and providing psychological support to my patients. I have also been trained through volunteer internships in a psychiatry clinic, a psychological counseling center, and a kindergarten for almost 3 years in total. I worked in different international kindergartens and schools where I observed and worked with different cultures and ages (students, parents, and teenagers), which gave me many opportunities to observe, analyze, and understand different cultures and relationships, in addition to my experiences. Additionally, I have gained many practices in various cases under supervision in Istanbul.
Although the method I follow always varies from client to client, during the first session (or the first few sessions, depending on the situation), I listen to my client’s complaint and understand and do an analysis. During the analysis, if necessary, I use my psychological assessment competencies to better analyze and understand the client and the problem, in order to determine the appropriate approach for the client and the issue they are facing. In addition, I generally provide psychological support to my clients if it is convenient with the CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) approach, but since my main perspective gives the most importance to determining the real needs of my clients and choosing the best path for them, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) is not always the way for me as a clinical psychologist to follow. These changes depend on the individual, the problem, proneness to solution methods, and the effectiveness of these for the patient’s well-being. For couples, (relationship, marriage or any romantic relationship without any gender barrier) again, depending on the situation, we might be doing some separate sessions in specific cases. However, generally it is a two-person session where we solve the problems between them. We work on understanding and increasing the communication skills within the relationship.
