I am a professional counsellor based in Northern Italy.
I run a private practice alongside a team of professionals in the health and wellbeing sector, where I meet clients in person. I work primarily with adults on issues related to relationships, self-esteem, and career transitions.
As a dedicated and empathetic counsellor, I also specialize in supporting mothers through the emotional complexities of pregnancy and the postpartum period. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges women face during this transformative time, my practice is rooted in compassion and a strong commitment to maternal mental health.
Another core area of my work involves supporting expats. Having lived in the UK for five years, I understand first-hand the challenges of living abroad—cultural adjustment, identity shifts, and the emotional resilience required to navigate such transitions. This personal experience enables me to support clients with empathy and cultural sensitivity.
During my counselling placement, I had the privilege of working in the non-profit sector. That experience showed me the profound impact of accessible, compassionate care and deepened my commitment to making mental health support more widely available. I believe strongly in breaking the stigma around mental health and creating spaces where people feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
I practice Person-Centered Counselling, following the approach developed by Carl Rogers. This method is based on the belief that individuals are capable of finding their own solutions when provided with a safe, non-judgmental, and supportive environment.
The core principles of my approach are:
Unconditional Positive Regard: Accepting and valuing the client without judgment, creating a safe space for self-exploration.
Empathy: Deeply understanding and reflecting the client’s feelings, fostering emotional healing while staying grounded in my own emotional awareness.
Congruence (Authenticity): Being genuine and transparent throughout the therapeutic process.
Rather than offering direct advice, I support clients in exploring their emotions, values, and life experiences. My goal is to empower individuals to develop greater self-awareness, self-acceptance, and emotional well-being.
This approach places strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship itself. As trust and openness develop, clients often become more receptive to new experiences, more confident in themselves, and more capable of creating meaningful change. While not structured or directive, this model is highly effective in fostering long-term growth and transformation.
I have not only studied and practiced this approach—it is a deeply integrated part of who I am.
I decided to become a counsellor in my early thirties, after nearly a decade in the corporate world. Training in counselling helped me grow not only professionally, but also personally—it deepened my empathy, my listening skills, and my ability to be present with others.
Stepping into this profession brought a sense of meaning I had never experienced before. While I value what I learned in the corporate world, I now feel I am where I truly belong.
I am a multilingual counsellor (English, Spanish, French, and Italian) based in Saronno, Italy, offering both in-person and online individual and couple therapy for adults.
I support clients through challenges related to relationships, self-esteem, career changes, maternal mental health, and life abroad.
Grounded in the Person-Centered Counselling approach, I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where personal growth and emotional healing can unfold.
