My Credentials:
I am a psychologist working integratively, combining evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Neuropsychology and mindfulness-based interventions. My therapeutic style is flexible and tailored to the specific needs of each individual, with the aim of promoting self-awareness, emotional regulation, and meaningful change.
I have gained clinical experience across diverse settings, including private practice, addiction recovery centres, and community mental health services. My work has involved supporting individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, sexual and relational issues, and emotional dysregulation. I also work with individuals experiencing difficulties related to identity, self-esteem, and interpersonal relationships.
In addition to my work with individuals, I offer support to couples navigating relational conflicts, emotional distance, or transitions such as long-distance dynamics or separation. I hold a degree in Psychology and have completed postgraduate training in Cognitive Neuroscience and Psychological Rehabilitation. I also draw on methods rooted in Polyvagal Theory, Autogenic Training, and mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) to help clients develop a stronger sense of inner balance and body-mind awareness.
My Approach:
My background includes a PhD in Neuroscience, which has provided me with a strong scientific foundation and a deep understanding of the brain and its influence on behavior and emotions. This perspective allows me to integrate empathy with structured, evidence-based methods. I often help clients make sense of their experiences by explaining the brain mechanisms underlying emotions, habits, and psychological symptoms in a clear and accessible way.
I use validated tools from the psychological literature, including psychometric testing, when appropriate, to support both assessment and therapeutic planning. My approach is not only intuitive and relational, but also grounded in research and neuropsychological principles.
I aim to create a confidential, respectful, and non-judgmental space where you can explore your difficulties and begin to make changes that feel meaningful and sustainable. Therapy with me is collaborative and active: we work together to identify patterns, explore underlying causes, and build practical strategies that support your personal goals.
Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of clarity, therapy offers the opportunity to reconnect with your values, expand your coping skills, and cultivate greater emotional balance. I tailor each session to your unique needs, and draw from a range of approaches to ensure your therapeutic experience is both supportive and effective.
About Me:
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy staying physically and mentally balanced through martial arts practice and spending time in nature. I find energy and clarity by being outdoors, especially near the sea, and value time spent walking, training, and reconnecting with the body. I’m passionate about the brain, psychology, and human behaviour—both in theory and in lived experience—and I continue to engage in ongoing study and scientific curiosity as part of my professional and personal development.
Summary:
I am an English-speaking Psychologist and Psychotherapist based in Rome, offering both online and in person sessions to individuals and couples. I see patients at several locations across the city, including Valle Aurelia / Cipro (Prati), Piazza Bologna / Tiburtina, and Monte Mario near Gemelli Hospital. My integrative approach draws from CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and neuroscience. I specialise in anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, relational difficulties, trauma, and addiction. With a background in scientific research and clinical psychology, I combine empathic listening with evidence-based tools. Outside work, I enjoy martial arts, nature, and the sea—ways to stay grounded, focused, and present.
