Bhrugu Aranya Internatinal Eco-Village Community in Poland by Rory Maher
When I was a school boy I remember the other boys and I were talking about what we would do if there was a nuclear war. Everyone else agreed that they would rather die than survive and try to live in the aftermath of such a war. I, on the other hand, felt strongly that I would want to survive and live. There has always been a strong sense of survival in me, and the belief that a better world can be created and will be created. I was born 2 months premature, and I guess that strong sense of survival, that determined will to live, was born in me then and carried me through that delicate time into today.
AGNIHOTRA - An Ancient Solution for Agriculture of the 21st Century by Cle Latouf
AGNIHOTRA - An Ancient Solution for Agriculture of the 21st Cent by Cle Latouf
Agnihotra has its origins in the most ancient Vedic sciences of bio-energy, medicine, agriculture and climate engineering. When Agnihotra is applied in medicine and agriculture it is called Homa Therapy. When Homa Therapy is applied to Agriculture it is called Homa Organic Farming. Homa Organic Farming is a system of agriculture that can be added to any organic farming practice. This ancient Vedic farming technique promises an increase in crop yields with minimal input costs. The practice is used to treat the atmosphere, the soil, plants, pests and disease problems.
Vedic sciences have been used predominantly in India and South America. I stumbled upon this technique in the South of India. According to Martin Gluckman, head of the Vedic society, “Many people are led to believe biodynamics originated from Rudolf Steiner but when traced back, it actually stems from ancient Vedic knowledge.” When invited to an Agnihotra conference presented by Dr. Ulrich Berk, my interest was immediately sparked.
Agnihotra and Microbes, A Laboratory Experience by Dr. Arvind D. Mondkar M.Sc; Ph.D (Micro)
Our way of life has intensified the quantum of pollution. No place can be called safe from pollution. What varies is the type of pollutant and the degree of pollution. Pollution is of various types such as gaseous pollution, water pollution, food pollution, radioactive pollution and so on. Of these types microbial pollution is the most important type of pollution for people in the medical or paramedical field.
Microorganisms are ubiquitous in nature.
There are mainly two types, namely non-pathogenic or saprophytic (harmless and not causing any disease) and pathogenic (disease producing). There are certain opportunistic pathogens which, given a chance, can produce disease in human beings. Thus the mere presence of these microorganisms in a definite strength in various media can produce contaminants.
Microorganisms like Salmonellae, Shigellae or Vibrios contaminate water, eatables, milk and milk products. When the contaminated eatables are consumed the individual suffers from typhoid, bacillary dysentary or cholera. Similarly, organisms like Staphylococci cause food poisoning by increasing toxins in food.
THESE ARE THE TIMES THAT TRY MEN’S SOULS by Barry Rathner, Ph.D.-Bhrugu Aranya Community
It has been 235 years since Thomas Paine penned the words that form the title of this piece. Though he was referring to the American Revolution, the words might just as easily be referring to current events in any of a half dozen Middle Eastern countries.
Furthermore, it is not at all a stretch to apply them to all of this planet’s inhabitants, for very few of which can life be described as a “walk in the park.”
Blessed or cursed as we all are to breathe and be exposed to basically the same atmosphere regardless of where we live or travel, it might be said we are all in the same boat. Considering matters, that boat might best be an ARK, as whether it be by flood, by drought, or name your poison, to describe these times we live in as those that try men’s souls, is not hyperbole.
As International Women’s Day was just celebrated, permit me to note that women’s souls are no less being tried than men’s. After all, Mr. Paine was perhaps catering to budding voters at the time, none of which were to be women for many, many years.
Now if I am to be the bearer of unpleasant news, lest I be labeled a doomsday purveyor, let me try to balance things.
LA YOGA's Ayurveda & Health
October 2
It may be easy to succumb to the fear and frenzy around flu season and to wonder whether or not to get a vaccine, but there are some simple things you can do to stay healthy. Ayurvedic practitioner Alakananda Devi offers some suggestions.
Do
Wash your hands frequently. Ideally, use neem soap and hot water.
Reduce the level of toxins in your body.
At the first sign of flu, stay home, fast, drink plenty and consult a doctor.
Have a supply of antiseptic substances to sanitize your home and office (these include peroxide and tea tree oil).
Sanitize telephones and keyboards. Viruses can survive for a long while outside the body.
Have a supply of facial tissues and foot pedal-operated trash bins for their disposal.
If you feel sick, drink turmeric and tulsi tea.
If you feel sick take zinc lozenges.
Get myrrh or boswellia to burn for fumigating your home.
Fumigate your home daily.
Practice agnihotra (specific type of fire ceremony) to help purify your home.
Use your own pen. Some folks chew pens or may not have washed their hands before use.
Don't
Directly touch door handles in public bathrooms. Use a paper towel.
Yajnyas (Homas) by Shree Vasant Paranjpe
It is stated in AYURVEDA, the Vedic science of life, that at the junction of two seasons there is likelihood of epidemic and hence medicinal HOMAS should be performed for the sake of the community. By performing such HOMAS the disease in that are is reduced. It is both prevention and cure. There are several medicinal herbs that could be offered to fire by chanting of special Mantras to bring about the desired effect of removing disease in an area. Following are some examples.
Eucalyptus can be put in YAJNYA fire with certain oils to cause healing effect.
You can change a whole area, a whole community by doing a certain Mantra and offering in HOMA fire oil from sandalwood, clarified butter and some certain musk.
Sandalwood put HOMA fire has as astounding effect on the mental fibre.
The cannabis plant is also medicinal when put into fire with certain other herbs and with certain disciplines. To abuse the plant for one's sense pleasure is misuse of its properties.

Integrated Bee Keeping Using Homa Technology
INTRODUCTION
Due to contamination, creatures like bees began to diminish in many areas of the Amazon. They died or escaped to virgin forests.
The bees that were settled near agricultural fields where agrochemicals were used became aggressive. Thirty-three to sixty-six percent of the honey from these areas contains residues of toxic substances, coming from the use of chemical pesticides in farming.
The Europeanized bees don't adapt easily to the tropical or subtropical forest of the Amazon. They are attacked from the beginning by insects like ants, called "Itaraco". If they adapt, they begin to produce honey after a year of having been installed. When this production is achieved, pathogenic agents, proliferating in the surroundings, diminish the quality of the honey. Finally the bees leave the beehives and look for better living conditions in the virgin forests.
Biosol Homa - Food for Plants
COMPONENTS:
The Biosol-HOMA bio-fertilization system is composed of operations and processes which lead to the biodegradation of organic waste developed within HOMA atmosphere, using Agnihotra ash and its solution with a Yantra (copper disk with a special design).
Using the HOMA methods it is possible to obtain complete bio manure for the plants, containing in convenient concentration all nutrients as macro elements, oligoelements and others. The HOMA bio manure gives the plants special medicinal and nutritional qualities for both animals and humans, besides being organic and ecological.
The obtained biomass of this whole process ends up biodegrading in a HOMA bio-digester, acquiring wonderful qualities. It is a powerful fertilizer for foliation and even has a high content in phyto-hormones. After this process, the compost becomes a liquid bio-fertilizer and is called "Biosol-HOMA"
Each liter of Biosol-HOMA is dissolved in 100 liters of Agnihotra ash solution (made with a Yantra). Then it is applied to the soil. This plant food is quickly assimilated through the cellular membrane of the plant roots.
